An image or Master represents a user’s entire work environment, incorporating the operating system, security settings, and business-specific applications. Once this master has been defined by IT, the speed and reliability of its deployment on workstations become crucial issues. The same applies to updates and resets, which must be done without impacting productivity.
Images and Masters can be large and numerous, often measured in gigabytes. The challenge is to deploy them efficiently across thousands of workstations, while overcoming network constraints and using small IT teams.

The Wisper Repository Service (WRS) optimizes the distribution of images and masters using advanced cache management. The data is divided into small blocks called “chunks” and stored locally on WRS and in the cloud. This approach allows for fast loading, as only necessary changes are downloaded during updates. In the event of a WRS failure, the service automatically switches to the cloud, ensuring maximum resilience and continuous operation.
WRS allows for scheduling of off-peak deployments, optimizing network utilization and avoiding peak load. This feature allows IT teams to manage mass deployments without disrupting day-to-day business, while reducing bandwidth costs.
